Miners Cottage

The western part of Kankakee County and eastern part of Livingston County was once a place of deep shaft and strip mining for coal. One of the recurring residential shapes was the miner’s cottage. It was built for miners and was modest and spare. This unbuilt project is a response to those cottages.
