Retreat Barn

South Central, MO

This barn was built in the mid-nineteenth century. The clients wanted to restore the barn and engaged Trillium Dell Timberworks to dismantle it and restore it.

Once restored, the plan is to rebuild the barn on the same site, but to reorient it to capture a remarkable view and to take advantage of strong solar orientation.

The rebuilt barn will provide space for six guests and dining and gathering for more guests accommodated elsewhere on the site. The kitchen is commercial grade and will allow caterers ample room to work.
