Chip Rorem became a licensed architect in 1976. He holds an NCARB Certificate and is currently licensed to practice in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Missouri. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Association of Licensed Architects. He is also the architect for the Monical Pizza Corporation.

He lives in the neighborhood where he grew up and presently sits on the City of Kankakee Planning Board, and the boards of Kankakee County Habitat for Humanity, and the Key City Community Development Corporation . His recent focus has been on residential remodeling, low income housing, building deconstruction, and neighborhood stabilization projects.
